(MENAFN) Qatar Airways reported stated that it would start new flights to Shiraz, a city located towards the south of Iran, which would be the carrier’s 101st destination, reported Tehran times.
Qatar Airways stated that the flight would be operated twice a week from its Doha hub to Shiraz International Airport, starting in mid-2011. The new service would accommodate twelve seats in Business Class and 132 in Economy and would be operated via an Airbus A320 aircraft.
The Doha-based carrier also said that this would be its third destination in the Islamic Republic, after Tehran and Mashhad cities. The company is pleased with its new expansion in Iran as the country is not well exposed in the aviation market.
