(MENAFN) Qatar Airways CEO, Akbar Al Baker, said that the carrier would start operating flight to Venice in Italy on a daily basis starting from mid-June of 2011, reported Arabian Business.
Al Baker said that this would be the Qatar Airways third daily destination in Italy, as it already provides a daily service to both Milan and Rome. The flight would be operated via am Airbus A320 aircraft.
In addition, Al Baker said that the carrier signed another agreement under which it would start direct flights to Tbilisi later this year. By this new addition, Qatar Airways would be the first Gulf carrier to run a direct flight to Tbilisi.
