(MENAFN) Qatar Airways announced the launch of a new route service to Benghazi, in Libya on November 28, taking the number of African new routes this year to 14, Arab News reported.
The carrier said it will operate four flights a week from Doha, adding that Benghazi, Libya’s second-largest city, is a leading economic center, ideally located on the Mediterranean for trade and export.
Qatar Airways is operating an Airbus A320 aircraft, configured with 12 seats in Business Class and 132 in Economy on the route.
Qatar Airways owns a fleet of over 100 aircraft flying to more than 100 destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.
The airline also placed orders worth over USD40 billion for more than 200 aircrafts from Boeing, Airbus and Bombardier.
