(MENAFN) Qatar Airways’ CEO, Akbar Al Baker, stated that starting April 10, 2013, the carrier will launch daily flights from Doha to Chicago, reported Arabian Business.
Al Baker said that the non-stop flight, which will take around 15 hours, will be operated via the long-haul Boeing 777-300 Extended Range passenger plane.
The new service is expected to boost the airline’s business, as the destination is considered to be one of the most attracting sites, with the city being a main route for business and leisure travelers.
It is worth noting that Qatar Airways, which has started operations to North America five years ago, operates daily flights to New York, Washington and Houston, in addition to twice-weekly cargo flights to Chicago O’Hare.
