(MENAFN) Emirates Airline failed to get the approval from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) authorities for its New Year fares sale promotion, and was forced to take it back, Arabian Business reported.
The Dubai-based airline cut ticket prices to more than 100 cities by 25 percent for bookings up to Jan 9 including Qatar.
Qatar media reported that the QCAA could face legal action over its move to block the cut-price sales, it if could be proved the decision had hurt the interests of citizens.
