(MENAFN) Qatar forecasts to witness a growth of 40 percent in automobile sales over the upcoming four years, with new vehicle sales to hit 143,774 by 2019, according to BMI Research, Gulf Times reported.
BMI Research showed that 101,982 private automobiles were registered in Qatar last year. This represented an annual increase of 8.7 percent, slightly ahead of BMI’s predictions of just over 6 percent growth.
“Looking forward, we continue to believe that the scene is set for good sales growth across both 2015 and 2016, with domestic demand and construction activity remaining underpinned by the government’s heavy public investment programme,” BMI said.
