(MENAFN) Qatar Chamber said that it is currently conducting meetings with a Gambian delegation to discuss ways to strengthen economic ties and trade exchange between the two sides, including a number of investment opportunities in Gambia, particularly in the country’s tourism sector, QNA reported.
The chamber said that these meetings represent a good chance for both sides to be able to discuss the investment opportunities and economic possibilities in both countries, as well as to discuss the possible ways of cooperation on them and to identify the business community.
On his part, the Gambian Ministry of Trade said that there are several investment opportunities in Gambia in different sectors, which include the sectors of services, tourism and agriculture as well as real estate and lands development.
“The private sector in Qatar seeks to take advantage of the nature of the good relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of the Gambia, where Qatari businessmen wish to explore investment opportunities in Gambia in all fields, noting that such a visit is an appropriate chance to discuss ways of cooperation between the private sectors in both countries,” Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) said.
