(MENAFN) Qatari and Lebanese investors entered a bidding for a majority stake in Turkish low-cost carrier Onur Air, local media reported.
According to the Vatan newspaper, Istanbul-based Onur Air is seeking buyers for a controlling stake in the carrier, and investors from Qatar and Lebanon expressed their interest in acquiring it.
Saruhan Dogan, a board member of sale advisor FinansInvest said that talks over the sale is in final stage.
Onur Air has a 34 aircraft fleet and seat capacity of 8,015. Since its launch in 1992, the carrier has been serving domestic aviation marker until 2003 when it started international service.
Onur Air flies to 80 destinations in 20 countries, and to 12 domestic destinations.
