(MENAFN) Qatar National Cement Company (QNCC) said that it has signed an agreement with Stream Industrial Engineering Company to construct a calcium carbonate plant on turn key basis at Umm Bab, Gulf Times reported.
The plant is to be completed within 10 months. It will meet the demand of Calcium Carbonate of Qatar Electricity and Water Corporation in accordance with supply agreement between the two parties made on 01/09/2009 for 25 years.
QNCC is a major producer of Ordinary Portland Cement, Sulphate Resistant Cement, Hydrated Lime, Calcined lime and Washed Sand in State of Qatar.
The company was established as per the Emiri Decree No. 07 in 1965 to produce Ordinary Portland Cement in sufficient quantity to meet the demand of cement in the State of Qatar.
