Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil ink Cyprus gas agreement

(MENAFN) Qatar Petroleum (QP) and ExxonMobil inked an exploration and production deal with the Government of the Republic of Cyprus for offshore Block 10.

Additionally, talks focused on recent and future co-op in the energy field and the deal, which sets the terms for exploring the hydrocarbon potential in Block 10 offshore the Mediterranean Island.

Accordingly, the signing of the deal for offshore Block 10 in south-west of Cyprus, trailed the successful offer which was awarded to the consortium of Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil.

Meanwhile, the group partners are preparing to start exploration drilling in 2018, while it will also work with Cyprus to help build national skills in the oil and gas industry.
