(MENAFN) The Qatar Electricity & Water Company (QEWC) has announced that it will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Syrian-Qatari Holding Company for the establishment of two power plants with a capacity of 450 MW each in Syria, QNA reported.
The MOU will be signed at the QEWC head office located in West Bay area, the company said in a statement to the Qatar Exchange.
QEWC was established in 1990 as a Qatari joint stock company. The Syrian-Qatari Holding Company was established in 2008 through an agreement between Syria and Qatar.
