(MENAFN) Deputy Chairman of the Qatar National Master Plan (QNMP) steering committee, Ali Abdulla Al Abdulla, said that the country is currently planning on founding three new economic and development zones in an attempt to boost economic growth in the country, reported Arabian Business.
Al Abdulla did not disclose further information regarding the cost nor the size of the new zones.
Al Abdulla said that QNMP had been arranging for a boost in the human, social, economic and investment aspects of life in Qatar, under a strategic plan to be completed by 2030.
On another note, Al Abdulla said that QNMP is working constantly on needed preparations for the FIFA World Cup that would be held in 2022 in Qatar. He noted that most planned projects would be infrastructural.
