Qatar’s Barwa awards $185m contract to Shapoorji

(MENAFN) Barwa Real Estate Company QSC (Barwa) announced that Shapoorji Pallonji Qatar WLL has been awarded the contract for Phase I Amenities at Barwa City, The Peninsula reported.
The client for this substantial deal, worth almost $185 million, is Barwa City Real Estate. In concert with Barwa’s design theme, the two large amenities districts offer multiple green areas, cycle paths, children’s play areas and community services that are within walking distance.
Barwa City Phase I is a sprawling 1.4 Million square meter area which contains all of the modern city amenities that you would only expect in an established development.
The Phase 1 Main Works consists of approximately 6000 high quality residential units, which include state of the art utilities and infrastructure services like, a dedicated District Cooling Plant, Liquid Petroleum Gas Network and STP facilities.
