(MENAFN) Qatar’s Gulf International Services (GIS), the largest service group with interest in a multiple industries, announced that its fully-owned subsidiary, Gulf Helicopters, has received its first two AW189 super medium helicopters, The Peninsula Qatar reported.
Gulf Helicopters, which currently has a total of 15 AW189s on order, said that the delivery of the whole order of aircrafts is expected to be completed by 2017.
“I am delighted to strengthen our relationship with Agusta Westland and our acceptance of delivery of our first two AW189 is based not only on our marketing strategy for the future of the company’s expansion, but also on our customers’ requests for such a helicopter size,” CEO of Gulf Helicopters said.
