Qatar’s industrial sector grows by 7.3pct

(MENAFN) The Industrial sector in Qatar for October is estimated at 49.9 points, showing an increase of 7.3 percent compared to Sep this year, supported by the increase in Mining sector.
Moreover, the PPI of mining sector in Oct showed an increase of 9.9 percent compared with PPI of Sep this year, due to the increase in prices of Crude petroleum and natural gas.
Meanwhile, the PPI of manufacturing sector posted an increase of 2.2 percent in the cited month, compared with the last month”s manufacturing index amid the year.
However, drop in prices was in Basic Metals by 5.8 percent, Juices by 5.5 percent, Rubber and Plastics products by 1 percent and Cement and other Non-metallic products by 0.2pct.
