Qatar’s MEC, Manateq sign USD234.92m contract with Galfar

(MENAFN) The Qatari Logistic Committee at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) and the Economic Zones Company (Manateq) signed a USD234.92 million contract.

The two parties signed the deal with Galfar Al Misnad Engineering and Contracting to implement the infrastructure works associated with the Al Wakrah Logistic Services Area.

The project covers a total area of 6.6 sq km and currently the first phase is being developed on a 3.5 sq km, to be leased to investors. The infrastructure works are scheduled to be completed within 24 months.

Head of the Logistic Committee at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce said the signing of the contract was considered an important step towards the implementation of such an important project.
