(MENAFN) Qatar”s premier gas transporter Nakilat said that it has added three new LNG vessels to its fleet, the Peninsula Qatar reported.
The company said that the addition will be through its joint venture, Maran Nakilat, which has recently closed USD807.4 million of refinancing.
The three new vessels will be added to Nakilat”s joint venture with Greek shipping firm Maran ventures. The addition will raise the venture”s fleet to 11, increasing Nakilat”s LNG fleet to a total of 61 vessels.
The Managing Director of Nakilat said: “We are dedicated to the continual enhancement of Nakilat”s position as the world”s leading LNG shipping company and support from the State of Qatar”s financial institutions enables us to achieve this goal.”
