Qatar’s Nakilat reports USD50m profit in Q3

(MENAFN) Qatar Gas Transport Co (Nakilat) reported a 25.5 percent decline in quarterly profits, Reuters reported.

The company said it made USD49.8 million net profit during the third quarter, according to Reuters calculations, compared with USD66.9 million a year ago.

Reuters calculated quarterly net profit from previous financial statements.

For the nine-months to September, Nakliat said it made USD154.3 million net profit, down from USD171.5 million a year earlier.

Last year, the world’s largest shipper of liquefied natural gas (LNG) said it is considering converting 45 of its largest tankers to burn natural gas instead of oil.
