Qatar’s QEWC net profit up 11 percent in Jan-Sep

(MENAFN) Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC) announced the financial results of the company for the January-September period of 2014, which witnessed the company posting a net profit of USD 310.16 thousands, increasing 11 percent when compared to USD 279.41 thousands registered in the same period last year, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

QEWC said that the in the cited period, the company’s sales reached USD 596.45 thousands, increasing by 2 percent compared to 586.12 thousands which were registered in the same period in 2013.

“We are very satisfied with the company’s financial performance, and commended its endeavors in implementing new projects and future plans,” The QEWC Board of Directors said in a statement.
