(MENAFN) Qatar’s trade balance, which shows the difference between its total exports and imports, showed a surplus of QR9.8bn in April, a jump of QR5bn or 105 percent.
However, the trade balance fell by almost QR0.03bn or 0.3 percent on month on month, while its total exports of goods reached QR18.8bn in the cited month.
In addition, the year on year increase in total exports was due to higher exports of Petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons, reaching QR11.5bn.
In the cited month, Japan was at the top destination of Qatar’s exports with close to QR2.8bn or a share of 14.9 percent of whole exports.
