(MENAFN) The Ministry of Transport and Airport International Group (AIG) said that it would revise the plan for the new passengers terminal at the Queen Alia International Airport, reported Petra News Agency.
The ministry said it decided to divide the project into two phases where the first one would be concluded with a partial opening of the terminal in June 2012 instead of the previous deadline on February 2012. New deadlines were set as they seemed more reasonable.
The ministry added that new requirements were added to the project in order to make the airport compliant with International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) criteria.
It is worth noting that AIG is in charge of managing the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of the Queen Ali Airport.
