(MENAFN) Renault, the automobile maker, announced that the company’s sales in the Gulf region increased by around ninety percent in 2010 compared to a year before and thus the company sold 2.6 million vehicles across the world, reported The National.
The company also stated that total sales increase around the world hiked by fourteen percent for the same period of time. The company said that this hike in sales makes the automaker one of the fastest-growing car brands in the Gulf region.
The company said that in Saudi Arabia alone, Renault sold over 1,300 vehicles in the period starting from July 2010 and ending in December of the same year.
It is worth noting that these results were common among other car brands’ performance in the region, with BMW, Rolls-Royce and GM all reporting a boost in sales last year.
