7ewar Forum, the first of its kind in Bahrain, is the latest youth initiative to be launched by the Rotary Club of Adliya. The initiative will consist of a series of discussion panel and workshop events held on a quarterly basis with the purpose of facilitating meaningful dialogue between young professionals (Millennials) and senior management (Generation X and Baby-Boomers). Attendees will come from a variety of companies and industries in Bahrain in order to discuss key workplace topics. Each 7ewar will have a different theme, which will be explored through discussion panels and group debates. The aim of the initiative is to enhance professional understanding between the generations and create innovative solutions for improving workplace productivity.
The first 7ewar, powered by BBK and supported by BIBF, Dadedo, AMG and Obai and Hill, will be a one day event (9am-2pm) held in November 2018 with a main theme of ‘What does productivity mean in today’s world?’ The discussion panel will consist of three young professionals from the Millennial generation and three HR experts and executives from the Generation X and Baby-Boomer generations. Attendees will also spend time in breakout groups to debate and explore solutions to the main theme, reconvening at the end of the event to present them to the HR experts and executives with the aim of potential implementation within respective companies.
Durry Atasi, President of RCA and Mr. Reyadh Sater, BBK Chief Executive met on Wednesday, 26th of September, 2018, to discuss the importance of this initiative and how it will enhance employee engagement in the aim of achieving happier and more productive work environments. The kind sponsorship of the first quarter, was handed over during the meeting and RCA commended BBK’s spirit in pioneering with this initiative, thus inviting more companies to be part of this discussion platform. Amal Kooheji, Rotary Club of Adliya member and project manager of 7ewar, explained ‘7ewar is a public event that will benefit all but supporting it will be particularly beneficial for Bahrain’s young professionals and
senior management teams as these quarterly events will encourage communication and remove generation differences for better work output.’.
Mr. Reyadh Sater expressed his enthusiasm for sponsoring the first 7ewar session and for being able to bridge the gap between the generations. He commended this great initiative and stressed on the fact that BBK is always supportive when it comes to employees’ engagement towards a happy working environment. For decades, BBK enjoyed being the employer of choice and strives to maintain that image. “Listening to our employees, specially the Millennials, have been a driving force in drafting procedures and policies that enhance productivity while ensuring employees satisfaction and happiness”.
