Royal Jordanian passenger traffic up 13% in June

16 Jul 2010

(MENAFN) Amman-based Royal Jordanian, the national carrier of Jordan, carried 268,000 passengers on board its aircraft in June this year, marking an increase of 13 percent over the same month in 2009, Petra reported.

RJ President Hussein Dabbas said that due to this increase, the seat factor amounted to 70 per cent and the airline’s number of flights went up by 10 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 3,465 flights.

He stressed that despite the higher numbers of passengers, Royal Jordanian still had a 91 percent on-time performance, exceeding the best punctuality levels achieved by global airlines.

RJ has introduced electronic tickets, and offers the service of online check-in, enabling passengers to issue their boarding passes electronically from their homes.
