(MENAFN) Royal Jordanian’s (RJ) President and CEO, Hussein Al-Dabbas, said that last month, passenger traffic jumped 25 percent from 2010’s same period to 213,000 passengers, reported Reuters.
Al-Dabbas added that during the month, seat occupancy rose by 11 percent from the previous year.
He also said that the carrier’s operating revenues were up 6.3 percent from a year earlier, reaching USD963 million.
Moreover, operating costs grew 20 percent, driven by higher fuel prices.
It is worth noting that at the end of 2007, Jordan sold 71 percent of Royal Jordanian in an initial public offering (IPO).
