Samsung, Petrofac JV to be awarded USD2bn Oman deal
08 Aug 2017
(MENAFN) Samsung Engineering proclaimed that its mutual venture with Petrofac has received notification it is to be given an USD2bn refinery project in Oman.
Accordingly, the firm has received an Intention to Award notice from the Duqm Refinery Petrochemical Industries Co. LLC for the Duqm refinery project package 2.
Meanwhile, Oman’s Duqm Refinery, which is part of the Duqm Special Economic Zone, has awarded three packages for its 230.000 barrels a day refinery.
Additionally, it is the first main deal in the Sultanate and its first for DRIPC, which is a mutual venture between Oman Oil Co. and Kuwait Petroleum Intl.
