(MENAFN) The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) said that in 2011, Saudi exports to other Arab countries hit USD7.9 billion, representing 37.2 percent of total Arab exports, reported Arab News.
The AMF added that the Kingdom topped the list of countries exporting to other Arab countries, followed by the UAE with exports valued at USD2.8 billion.
It also said that in the period, inter-Arab trade between Arab Gulf countries and other Arab nations grew 18.2 percent to USD49.6 billion, from USD33.5 billion a year earlier.
It is worth noting that Arab investments flowing into Saudi increased notably in 2011, reaching USD721.2 million from USD76.8 million in 2000.
