(MENAFN) Saudi Almarai, the Gulf’s prime dairy company, posted a net profit of around USD81.7 million in the first quarter of this year, marking a 12 percent increase year-on-year, Reuters reported.
The Gulf’s most successful dairy firm attributed the increase to higher sales, achieved early this year. The transactions resulted in the increase from the USD72.9 million logged in 2013.
According to a bourse statement, the three months to March period showed increasing sales that reached to USD810.04 million, marking an 11.7 percent increase against the previous year.
