Saudi Arabia posts 6pct increase in number of hotels

(MENAFN) The kingdom has 2.036 hotels, an increase of 6 percent over last year, as proclaimed the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH).
Accordingly, the number of furnished apartments increased to 4 percent to reach 6.940 in the recent year from 6.690 last year.
Additionally, travel and tourism agencies have grown by 16 percent to reach 2.294 and the number of trip organizers hit 519, which is an increase of 30 percent.
Furthermore, there are 461 men and women tourist guides and 36 tourist resorts in the kingdom, while there are 225 hotels and 304 motels on different expressways in many parts of the kingdom.
