(MENAFN) After the White House announced plans by President Donald Trump to visit Saudi Arabia this month, Washington confirmed it is working on contracts worth billions of dollars in arm sales to finalize during his visit.
Analysts confirmed that Trump’s planned visit to Saudi Arabia as his first stop in his international trip, is a sign of his intentions to strengthen ties with the country.
In recent year, the US was the main supplier for most military needs for Saudi Arabia, as it provides them jet fighters and control systems worth billions of dollars.
However, both parts are willing to improve relations after tensions with Barack Obama’s administration because of his support to nuclear Iranian deal.
