Saudi Arabia to enhance pharmaceutical industry
12 Feb 2017
(MENAFN) Minister of Health announced that Saudi Arabia will work hard to boost its pharmaceutical industry under the National Transformation Program (NTP) 2020.
Accordingly, the main plan is to generate pharmaceutical products to cater to the increasing needs of the kingdom.
Furthermore, there are 27 pharmaceutical producers recently operating in the kingdom, while imported branded pharmaceutical products in 2014 reached 80 percent.
The pharmaceutical market is predicted to increase by 10 percent between 2015 and 2020, to reach USD13.6bn.
