(MENAFN) The governments of Saudi Arabia and Tunisia announced that they have agreed to implement a program of cooperation in the farming sector, SPA reported.
Tunisian Minister of Farming, Water Resources and Fishing agreed with Saudi Agriculture Minister to take advantage of the two countries’ experiences in terms of water desalination and utilization of treated water for irrigation.
The aim of the agreement is to establish co-operation and twinning operations between both countries’ centers of research in the sectors of palm tree planting, date packaging, fishing and fish farming.
The two ministers also decided to organize Tunisian-Saudi partnership seminars in Tunisia during which the investment opportunities provided in the sectors of farming, food industries, fish farming and fishing.
