05 Apr 2014

(MENAFN) flynas, Saudi Arabia’s first and only budget airline is aiming to grow at least 20 percent annually, Arabian Business reported.

The carrier’s chief executive said that flynas is expected to turn profitable this year following seven years of losses.

The CEO said: “Until now we are actually not making a profit, but we hope to cross over this year. We have to grow very quickly and get critical mass.”

Data by the General Authority of Civil Aviation show that over 64 million passengers passed through Saudi Arabia’s 28 airports in 2012, increasing 19 per cent from the year before it.
