(MENAFN) Director General of Hafiz, Khaled Al-Ajami, announced that the program paid around USD293 million between Decemver the 26th and January the 23rd to unemployed Saudis, reported Arab News.
Al-Ajami said that the amount was distributed among over 563,000 unemployed young Saudis.
The director added that the government’s unemployment assistance program has received over 41,000 new applications.
The director also said that over 100,000 applications were rejected for insufficient information. In that case, alerts in the form of text messages were sent to applicants.
