Saudi Mobily Q4 profit jumps 16%

(MENAFN) Saudi Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) said that in 2011’s fourth quarter, profit jumped 16 percent to USD453 million, from USD389 million recorded in 2010’s same period, reported Arab News.

The firm added that the increase represented a surge of 39 percent over the previous quarter, when profit reached USD325 million, moreover, net income for the full fiscal 2011 leaped 21 percent from 2010’s USD1.12 billion to USD1.35 billion.

It also said that gross profit for the full year rose 18 percent to USD 2.75 billion, from USD2.34 billion a year earlier, whereas operating income reached USD1.41 billion, with an increase of 22 percent from USD1.16 billion in 2010.

It is worth noting that at the end of 2011, the volume of data traffic reached 163 terabytes per day compared to 85 terabytes per day at the end of the previous year.
