(MENAFN) Sadara Chemical Company has awarded Spanish oil engineering company Tecnicas Reunidas a USD800 million contract to build part of a petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia, Reuters reported.
Sadara Chemical Company is a joint venture between Saudi Arabian Oil and the Dow Chemical Company.
The firm will be responsible for engineering, procurement and supply of complex equipment and materials, and construction of plants and assistance during the commissioning of the units at the Chem-III project, in the Jubail Industrial City II.
The petrochemical plant will be operational in 2015 and is the largest of its kind in the world built in one stage, according to a note sent by the company to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
