(MENAFN) Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) achieved a new record in its 72-year history, flying 2.9mn passengers in a single month, which shows growth in local and global sectors.
This year, the airline had achieved one-third of that number, flying 10.007.000 by April month-end, while it made notable investments in new onboard product features.
Moreover, new aircraft, additional capacity on recent routes and new destinations are collaborating to the extra demand across Saudia’s international sectors.
Recently, the fleet expansion continues, where Saudia has received 11 out of 32 new aircrafts scheduled to be received this year, seeing the airline reach an average fleet age of 3.75 years by year-end.
