Saverglass to set up a USD93m plant in UAE’s Ras Al-Khaimah

07 Aug 2012

(MENAFN) French glass bottle maker Saverglass unveiled plans to set up a USD93 million plant in the emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah, Arabian Business reported.

Saverglass manufactures bottles for perfumes, cosmetics and food products. The company exports products to Africa, Australia, Europe and the Americas.

Saverglass chose Ras Al-Khaimah following consultations with Ras Al-Khaimah Investment Authority (RAKIA), the government entity that works to attract businesses to the emirate’s freezone and non-freezone areas.

The company said it is seeking to cut production and export costs. The 100,000 sqm plant will employ 180 people when completed in January 2013, Saverglass added.
