Serco awarded extension to Dubai Metro deal

(MENAFN) Serco Group plc said that it has signed an extension to its contract with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to continue to operate and maintain the Dubai Metro, Arabian Business reported.
The five-year extension deal will be effective until September 2019. The deal is USD 573 million and has potential to be extended for two other years to 2021.
Group chief executive of Serco said: “This award reflects the high level of confidence the RTA has in Serco to continue delivering world-beating standards in safety, performance and customer service, and will support further strong growth opportunities that we see across the Middle East region.”
