SNC-Lavalin wins Qatar consultancy deal

(MENAFN) SNC-Lavalin, a leading engineering and construction group, said it has been awarded an engineering consultancy and support services contract by Oryx GTL in Qatar.

In detail, Oryx GTL is a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum and Sasol of South Africa. However, the contract was signed to turn its gas to liquids complex at Ras Laffan Industrial City in Qatar.

Moreover, the five-year agreement is with its local entity, Qatar Kentz and is aligned to support Oryx GTL’s long-term sustaining capital plan, said a statement from SNC Lavlin.

Additionally, the contract sets out predefined rates for a number of work elements that will be required at the facility, including general engineering, feasibility studies, modeling and drawings.
