(MENAFN) Melia Hotels International’s executive vice president, Andre P Gerondeau, said that over the next five years, the Spanish company would increase its investments in the Middle East through launching 10 hotels in the region, reported Arabian Business.
Gerondeau added that the expansion would take place in the GCC countries, mainly in Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi, in addition to Dubai, for these countries’ economic advantages.
He also said that the firm would inaugurate at least two of its three hotel brands Melia, ME by Melia hotels and Gran Melia in Dubai, due to the emirate’s location as a hub for international investments.
It is worth noting that in October, the company will launch its first hotel in Dubai, which will be located in Bur Dubai close to Port Rashid and will include 164 rooms.
