(MENAFN) The Syrian government has called on India to establish projects and strategic partnerships in different fields including electricity, oil, gas, and information technology (IT), SANA reported.
The call came from Syria’s Economy and Trade Minister Lamya Aasi in a meeting of Syrian and Indian businessmen, which followed the 2nd term meetings of the joint Syrian-Indian committee in Damascus.
Aasi said that Syria had investment opportunities and a suitable investment environment.
She stressed the importance of exchanging expertise between her country and India, and invited businessmen to hold joint projects in all fields.
On his part, India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma said that his country was successful in the economic fields, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between India and Syria.
