(MENAFN) Syria said that its exports were not affected by the international sanctions, KUNA reported.
The Director of Syrian Exports Development Fund, Ihab Ismander, said that Syrian exports have not declined, citing a contract recently signed to import clothing from Saudi Arabia.
Ismander also said that Syria is in talks with Iran to start a joint company to support exportation of commodities between the two countries.
The proposed company would debut operation by the end of the first quarter of 2012 as soon as both countries reach an implantation plan, the official added.
