Takaful aims insurance pool for nuclear facilities in Egypt

(MENAFN) Egyptian Takaful Property and Liability Insurance will commit almost USD200mn to the planned insurance pool designated to insure nuclear facilities in Egypt.
Additionally, it was emphaszied the necessity of communicating with the global reinsurers and pools specialized in covering risks for nuclear projects.
The plant will be constructed in Dabaa, a site in the north of the country that Egypt has been considering for a nuclear power plant.
The country signed a deal with Russia to build Egypt’s first nuclear power plant at Dabaa, to generate 4,800 MW through four units.
