Travels from Sharjah airport hit 5.5 million

(MENAFN) Data showed that at least 5.5 million passengers used Sharjah International Airport (SIA) to travel during the first 6 months of the year, rose by 2.9% from the same ear a year earlier.
Moreover, SIA added that a total of 835,800 consumers have passed through the airport in the previous month, underlining an increase by 1.7% compared with June in 2016.
According to the chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, “The number of passengers through Sharjah International Airport continues to grow as a result of the continuous development of the facilities and services under the guidance of Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.”
