(MENAFN) The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said that air traffic movements in the country reached 56,654; an average of 1,888 movements per day, during the month of November, registering a 6.9 percent jump, year on year, hitting a two-year high, Gulf News reported.
According to official figures, Dubai ranked first with 25,363 air traffic movements, and over-flights came in second at 11,938, whereas Abu Dhabi ranked third with 8,293 movements.
Additionally, air traffic movements in Sharjah ranked fourth at 5,323 and local flights between UAE airports were in the fifth position with 4,230 movements, while Fujairah, Al Ain, and Ras Al Khaimah came in sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively.
