(MENAFN) The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said that last month, air traffic movements in the country rose 4.8 percent from 2010’s same period to 56,100, reported Emirates 24/7.
The authority added that the average air traffic movements per day were 1,810, moreover, air traffic movements in Abu Dhabi reached 8,443, whereas they were 24,934 air traffic movements in Dubai with an increase of 44.44 percent from 2010 and over flights reached 12,959 air traffic movements.
It also said that the authority renewed two Air Operator Certificates (AOC) in the period; in addition, it finished 34 licensing transactions for aircraft maintenance firms.
It is worth noting that regarding Aeromedical activities, the GCAA issued and renewed 1352 medical certificates in several qualified categories and appointed 9 medical committees.
