UAE- EMAL’s aluminum production reaches 1.5m tons

(MENAFN) Emirates Aluminium’s (EMAL) President and CEO, Saeed Fadhel Al Mazrooei, stated that recently, the company’s output of hot metal hit the 1.5 million tons milestone, reported Khaleej Times.
Al Mazrooei said that during the past 7 months, EMAL produced 500 thousand tons of aluminum, with purity levels that exceeded 99.88 percent.
He added that at the current time, the company’s advanced smelter in Al Taweelah uses DX Reduction Cell Technology to produce 750,000 tons of aluminum every year.
It is worth noting that the recent achievement was accomplished with more than 10 million work-hours, with zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI), building on last year’s achievement of 5 million work-hours with zero LTI.
