(MENAFN) Emirates airline’s President, Tim Clark, stated that the carrier will consider any new tie-up that would add value to the company, reported Emirates 24/7.
Clark said that the airline, which inked a partnership agreement with Australia’s Qantas, will evaluate any partnership that benefits the UAE-based carrier, such as the one with Qantas.
He added that the agreement with the Sydney-based carrier will help increase Emirates’ profits and traffic.
According to Qantas CEO, Alan Joyce, the deal with Emirates boosted the Australian carrier’s bookings by seven folds in 9 weeks on routes where the airline has tied up with the UAE company.
It is worth noting that Qantas’ new network will reduce average journey times by over 2 hours from Melbourne and Sydney to the main 10 destinations in Europe.
