UAE- Etihad cancels USD2.3b order from Airbus

08 May 2012

(MENAFN) A spokesperson at Etihad announced that the airline made more cancellations of orders for Airbus’ A350-1000, valued at a total of USD2.3 billion, reported Arab News.

Etihad had originally placed an order of twenty five aircrafts. A series of reductions set the order down to twelve aircrafts only.

However, a spokesperson of Airbus noted that the jet in subject would only suffer from a shortage in short-term orders. He added that the craft maker is confident that orders will boom after six to seven years.
